Beyond the Call of Duty
“I started with Bikur Cholim Ltd when I was just 14, as a volunteer. Even then, having only seen a small glimpse of the incredible work being done, I was instantly blown away by the organisation. It didn’t feel like simply volunteering, it felt like joining a community; a very special, inspiring one. Twenty five years on, through different roles and stages of life, I am still proud to be part of the Bikur Cholim family, now as a paid employee. To this day, I continue to discover new aspects of the organisation and am constantly amazed by the sheer scale of what is being done. Bikur Cholim is always growing, always finding new ways to support and provide for the community. Alongside my current role as a qualified mortgage broker, life is often a balancing act. But despite this, it remains a true privilege to continue to play even a small part in something so meaningful, impactful, and special.”
